Bagdad (UNA/INA) – Pour le deuxième jour consécutif, la capitale Bagdad continue d’accueillir la quatrième session de la Conférence des médias arabes, un événement exceptionnel qui confirme le retour en force de l’Irak sur la scène arabe et internationale en tant que centre de dialogue et de coordination sur les questions cruciales auxquelles notre nation est confrontée.
Cette conférence intervient à un moment crucial, après deux sommets arabes qui ont abordé des questions et des défis politiques et économiques. Il s’agit d’une extension stratégique de ces discussions, mettant l’accent sur le rôle central des médias pour suivre et analyser ces défis, ainsi que pour fournir une plate-forme pour la question la plus importante de la conférence, le changement climatique, et pour guider l’opinion publique arabe vers une prise de conscience environnementale globale. Organisée par le Réseau des médias irakiens, la conférence devrait attirer une large participation d’experts arabes et internationaux et de décideurs des médias.

Basil Al-Zoubi, directeur du département Technologie de l’Union arabe de radiodiffusion, a déclaré à l’Agence de presse irakienne (INA) : « La Conférence des médias arabes à Bagdad vise à aborder des sujets importants dans lesquels les médias jouent un rôle majeur pour sensibiliser aux dangers du changement climatique. Ce sujet touche tous les segments de la société et l’État, et il est sensible et concerne la sécurité nationale, qu’il s’agisse de santé, d’environnement ou de société. »
Il a souligné que « le réseau des médias irakiens était désireux d’accueillir la conférence et de se concentrer sur ce sujet », expliquant que « la tenue de la conférence à Bagdad s’inscrit dans le cadre des activités et des intérêts de l’État irakien après avoir accueilli le Sommet arabe, et cela renforce le rôle de l’Irak sur la scène arabe et médiatique en général dans le domaine de la conservation de l’environnement et de la résolution des problèmes environnementaux d’une manière qui permet de préserver la sécurité de l’individu et du citoyen, que ce soit en Irak ou aux niveaux régional et arabe. »
Il a ajouté : « La conférence produira certainement un ensemble de recommandations, d’autant plus qu’elle réunit un groupe d’experts de diverses spécialités et orientations, issus de divers pays du monde, spécialisés dans les domaines de l’environnement, des médias, de l’économie et autres. Par conséquent, la conférence doit aboutir à des recommandations hautement applicables et réalisables. »
Ordre du jour avec des sujets importants
De son côté, Raed Al-Jubouri, directeur du département des organisations et fédérations arabes au sein du secteur des affaires économiques de la Ligue des États arabes, a déclaré à l’agence de presse irakienne (INA) : « L’importance de la tenue de la Conférence des médias arabes à Bagdad vient du fait qu’elle se tient après deux sommets arabes : le sommet ordinaire et le sommet du développement. »
Il a souligné que « l’organisation de cette conférence par le Réseau des médias irakiens est très importante, compte tenu notamment de l’importance du sujet abordé, à savoir le changement climatique. De plus, pour la première fois, elle se tient en dehors du siège de l’Union arabe de radiodiffusion, à Bagdad, et est accueillie par le Réseau des médias irakiens. »
Pour sa part, Abdul Rahman Nasser Al-Obaidan, conseiller média au bureau du directeur de la Qatar Media Corporation, a déclaré à l’agence de presse irakienne (INA) : « L’ordre du jour de la Conférence des médias arabes est très important en raison des sujets qu’elle soulève et qui intéressent le citoyen arabe », expliquant : « Nous sommes aujourd’hui dans notre pays parmi nos frères et nous sommes venus à Bagdad à plusieurs reprises, mais il y a une grande différence entre hier et aujourd’hui. »
Il a poursuivi : « Nous constatons des progrès évidents en Irak, et nous félicitons les responsables et souhaitons à Bagdad et au peuple irakien progrès et développement. » Il a expliqué : « La Conférence des médias arabes est l’une des conférences les plus importantes et l’un des sujets sur lesquels nous nous concentrons au sein de la Ligue arabe, que ce soit par l’intermédiaire du Comité permanent des médias arabes ou du Conseil exécutif, compte tenu de leur importance, notamment au vu de la situation actuelle dans la région et des événements qui s’y déroulent, notamment à Gaza. Nous souhaitons à tous nos frères plein succès à cette conférence et espérons qu’elle débouchera sur des recommandations qui concernent le citoyen arabe en général et les médias arabes en particulier. »
